1 Shut down your computer, after memorizing these steps.
2 As the computer turns on, press F10, or whatever prompt the computer gives you to enter settings. It’s a very short amount of time, so be ready. If no sighted person is around, use the Be My Eyes, or Aira app. Tell them to be ready and what you’re wanting to do, because if you miss it, you’ll need to shut down and power up again. The screen reader won’t work on this screen, because Windows hasn’t loaded yet, so you’ll need sighted assistance one way or another.
3 Use right arrow or whatever to get to the system configuration window, or option.
4 Enter on that, and go to Action Keys Mode option.
5 Press spacebar, or enter (whichever works) to toggle the setting to off.
6 Press F10, or use whatever option to save your changes. Now, when Windows loads, your function keys should work properly with your screen reader.

How to create a Volume Mixer Shortcut:

Go through the create shortcut steps as usual. Control spacebar in whatever folder or the desktop.

Application key, or Shift F10 on laptops.

W, or arrow down to the New submenu.

Arrow down once and enter on create shortcut.

Paste the combination of text below this line in the first box that the cursor starts in.

%windir%\System32\SndVol.exe -T 49490633

Next, tab to and activate the next button and name the shortcut whatever you want.

Now, you’ll be able to either create a hotkey, like shift plus control plus whatever, or pin it to the taskbar so you can press Windows key whatever for it to launch.

Drop box the old way

(Note: I don’t know if this is still necessary, but kept the steps in case it happens again.)

First you will want to delete the Dropbox icon off of your desktop.

1, press and hold the windows key and pressR.
2, Press the period key to place a dot in the edit field, and then press enter.
3, Tap the letter D until you hear Dropbox.
4, Press the application key if you don’t have a application key press shift with the F-10 key.
5, Press the up arrow key until you hear send to submenu and press right arrow, or enter.
6,Press the down arrow until you hear Desktop {Create Shortcut}

7, Press enter.
Now if you check your desktop you should find the Dropbox shortcut. Everything should work like it did before the update.
