Star Wars Books I Liked

Just listing these here for any SW fans who might be looking for a book to read. If you’re blind you’ll know what the DB stands for but if you’re sighted just ignore that number. All of these books are in audio format somewhere as well as print.

Older Books:

Star wars tales: tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina ; tales of the bounty hunters ; tales from Jabba’s palace DB65606

Anderson, Kevin J. Reading time: 40 hours, 39 minutes.

Read by Jim Zeiger

If you’ve never read a Star Wars book, these two have pretty much something for anybody in it. I like how it’s an anthology where you see events from the many different perspectives of the characters fleshed out each in their own story.

Shadows of The Empire

Was a good book. It’s on BARD but I didn’t copy the info down.

Newer Books:

The second book about Plagueis is a little on the darker side, but both of these have great audio quality. There’s a little bit of music going, and it’s basically an audio drama, with sound effects and everything. I like the direction audio books are going and these set a high standard.

Star wars: dark disciple DB82053

Golden, Christie. Reading time: 11 hours, 13 minutes.

Read by Marc Thompson

It’s a pretty original story, with interesting places and things you wouldn’t find in many other sources.

Darth Plagueis: Star Wars DB95335

Luceno, James. Reading time: 14 hours, 47 minutes.

Read by Daniel Davis

This was a fun read too. I won’t spoil anything but the crew of the ship early on in the story I’d like to read more about somewhere. I doubt they’ll be written about but find myself wanting to know more about them. Maybe I’ll write a fanfiction.

There’s a lot more SW books on BARD but I didn’t list all of them, even some I’ve read because of well, time, and a lack of it.

Fate of The Jedi Series

This series was good. I read the whole thing a couple years ago. Lol It has an powerful and interesting antagonist named Abolyth, probably spelled wrong, who’s basically a demi god if you use Dungeons And Dragons terms. The heroes in the book are fighting against her, which include Ben Skywalker, Luke’s son and others. He has a force using friend named Vestara from a lost Sith tribe and is an neat character too.

The first book in the series is called Outcast.

Star Wars and Zombies:

Red harvest: Star Wars DB75017

Schreiber, Joe. Reading time: 8 hours, 37 minutes.

Read by Andy Pyle

This was a fun read .I like the characters, and the sith academy setting is fun to imagine. If you don’t like zombies you might want to skip. The times of the Old Republic have so much potential, and I think this book helps show some of it.

Death troopers DB70317

Schreiber, Joe. Reading time: 7 hours, 47 minutes.

Read by Alec Volz

This was a fun read too. Pretty spooky if you like being scared.
